Live Edge Signs & Materials
For a more natural finish, consider live edge or natural edge wood. It’s a rustic style where either the tree’s outer rim is preserved in the slab, or it’s driftwood or salvaged wood.
A live edge slab is naturally beautiful with or without the bark. The resin connecting the bark to the wood eventually dries out, so the slab must be specially treated to preserve it. This can be part of the higher cost of a natural slab. It may also be necessary to fill in or repair natural holes and cracks — every slab is different.
Here are just some of the signs we’ve created using live edge slabs. If you’re interested in a sign made from this type of wood, contact us to discuss the options and pricing.
